Dr. Carmen E. Guerra, MD, MSCE, FACP, is the Ruth C. and Raymond G. Perelman associate professor and vice chair of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the department of medicine as well as the associate director of Diversity and Outreach at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Guerra specializes in cancer control, especially eliminating the barriers to accessing cancer screening tests in underserved populations. Dr. Guerra is also an attending physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Presbyterian Medical Center. She has been a volunteer with ACS since 2004 and serves on the Philadelphia Area Board. Dr. Guerra is a past recipient of an American Cancer Society Cancer Control Career Development Award and was awarded the St. George National Award in 2017. Dr. Guerra has served on the American Cancer Society Board of Directors since 2016.
