Why I Chose ACS

I am thrilled to contribute to the science of early cancer detection. I do so to honor the memory of someone special I lost to cancer that was detected too late.”

At ACS since 2022

Jessica Griffin, MS, is an evidence synthesis manager in Early Cancer Detection Science. She is collaborating with the senior principal scientist to produce high quality, useful systematic reviews that serve as the foundation for the American Cancer Society (ACS) cancer screening and prevention guidelines.

Research focus and accomplishments

Since 2008, Griffin has participated in the production of systematic reviews on a variety of healthcare topics for government agencies and health care associations. Many of the reviews were subsequently used in the publication of major screening and treatment guidelines, including those for cancer. At ACS, Griffin will focus on evidence synthesis for cancer screening and prevention, with special attention to racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities.

Personal life

My family and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. When I’m not working, I spend time driving my children to various sports practices and games. On other days, we love to hike and spend time together along the coast.
