Cancer Specialists Gather to Discuss Innovations in Research and Treatment

More than 32,000 cancer specialists from around the world are gathering in Chicago this week for the 54th annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The event runs from June 1st through June 5th. It features the latest advances in clinical cancer research.

News announced during each meeting includes the latest findings from cancer clinical trials, including new drug studies, which could change current standards of care.

This year’s meeting will focus on the theme Delivering Discoveries: Expanding the Reach of Precision Medicine, emphasizing this growing field of research, which has led to many advances in cancer care.
